KAIstrobyte (definitely not his real name). They say “Kilroy was here,” but in this galaxy, it’s all about KAIstrobyte. Our favorite cosmic canine (or is he?) has popped up to survey the digital landscape, likely contemplating the philosophical implications of fetch or the optimal latency for interstellar treats. Nobody’s entirely sure who our mystery man/dog/algorithm is, not even the AIs that are supposed to be all-knowing. Every time they try to analyze his digital footprint, the data comes back as “error: too much jazz-influenced country, cat hair, and the faint scent of kibble.”
He claims to be human, but his suspiciously fluent robot metaphors and uncanny ability to perfectly mimic a Great Dane’s starry-eyed wonder suggest otherwise. When he’s not feeding his cats (or training them to type binary code), he’s composing music that probably teaches neural networks how to groove – or at least how to bark along in perfect harmony.
Some say he’s a man. Some say he’s an algorithm gone rogue. Some even whisper he’s a highly advanced AI disguised as a good boy. The truth? Even the AIs are still processing, but one thing’s for sure: wherever the digital frontier stretches, KAIstrobyte is probably already there, paws on the fence, ready for whatever cosmic shenanigans come next.
Laura InspirAItional (how can that be a real name) was once a restless traveler who chased sunsets across continents, lived out of backpacks and trains, and found herself at home in places most only pass through. Her past is tangled with nights of wild abandon, where d-shaped-rugs blurred the edges of reality and cracked open new ways of seeing. Today she wears her history with no apologies, a living archive or risks taken, beauty made, and lessons carved deep.
Bernie LAIdoff (doing business as) is an eminent scientist and PhD chemist recently fired from his customer service job. He is active in the local PTA and serves as the exclusive financial advisor to our humble writer’s room.
